SEL × International Education Week: Together We Shine

Department of Foreign Language Instruction at Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages and Heti Elementary School Celebrate a Decade of Partnership

The Department of Foreign Language Instruction at Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages and Kaohsiung Heti Elementary School have reached an important milestone in their long-standing collaboration, marking the tenth year of their International Education Week partnership. On January 14–15, 2026, the two institutions jointly organized “SEL × International Education Week: Together We Shine,” an engaging event that integrated Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) with English language learning through a series of interactive activities.

The event featured eight English learning stations incorporating seven key SEL themes, including emotional awareness, self-affirmation, gratitude, interpersonal communication, teamwork, and kindness. Through a variety of hands-on challenges and interactive tasks, students learned how to express their feelings and ideas in English, recognize and respect the emotions of others, appreciate their classmates’ strengths, discover shared interests, and practice positive social behaviors.
