of the Curriculum |
1. The curriculum design equips graduate students with the theoretical and practical knowledge and abilities in foreign language instruction, teaching/learning material design, and management of foreign language education and cultural industries. 2. The program focuses on teaching and researching on practical issues related to all-levels of language education and cultural industries, and aims at guiding graduate students to develop localized language teaching/learning methodologies and materials for all-level learners, and to propose localized management models. 3. The program offers practical courses, such as Language Teaching/Learning Materials/Games Design and Production, Research and Study Abroad, Internship and Seminars/Guest Speeches, to enhance graduate students’ practical knowledge, experiences and professional competiveness. 4. This program emphasizes both language and professional development, and sets an English graduation threshold (CEFR B2-level or equivalent language proficiency levels) and a professional certification requirement (i.e. TKT certificate.) 5. Outstanding college senior students can benefit from the 5-year undergraduate–postgraduate integrated program by taking some M.A. courses in advance before getting admitted to the graduate program. This plan shortens the study period for the graduate program. 6. This program gives students choices to enroll in the teacher education program, and students who have completed the additional teacher education program can become qualified candidates for elementary school teaching positions after completing the internship and having passed the teacher certification. |

1. The curriculum focuses on two professional fields, foreign language instruction and management of foreign language education and cultural industries. 2. Required Credits for Graduation: 36 credits (including 4-credit Thesis/Applied Project); 21 required credits and 15 elective credits. |
