Curriculum Design
To achieve the objective set by the Department of Foreign Language Instruction, the courses were developed based on the “Core Value” set by the department. The courses focused on “cultivating and training language teaching professionals”. Students who graduated from the department will be able to develop language teaching materials、design courses and develop technology based teaching materials and resources. The “Core Value” curriculum corresponds to the changes of industry and adjusts according to the needs of society. It is also set to enhance students’ theoretical and practical ability in order to promote the efficacy and competence of the language teaching education.
To complete the degree in Department of Foreign Language Instruction, one must successfully complete at least 135 credit hours, the courses are planned as following:
(1) General Studies (Must complete 61 credit hours)
1. General English Courses (36 credit hours)
2. General Education and other general study courses (25 credit hours)
(2) Departmental Core Requirements (Must complete 58 credit hours)
